For those of us in the northern hemisphere it’s that special time of year again – a magical time when the earth starts her annual metamorphosis that sparks celebrations around the world. The air begins to cool and crisp as the days grow shorter and the soothing darkness brings the splendid harvest moon. The leaves change from deep summer green to the brief, soft tones of yellow, orange, and red. Our breaths deepen and smiles broaden at the gentle breezes that nip our cheek.
And most important of all our thoughts begin to turn from picnics, pools, and rollicking vacations to dark, dank houses filled with cobwebs and killers. With starry eyed splendor we begin to dream of the rotting flesh of reanimated corpses and the silent wail of tortured spirits wandering lost through foggy graveyards. It’s the time of year when becoming a knife-wielding sociopathic maniac is not only fun but expected and we look for ever greater and greater means to scare the bejesus out of ourselves. We love to be scared. We love dark corners and creepy eyes. We love creaky doors and cackling witches. In short, we love to celebrate our dark side.
No celebration of darkness would be complete without Forgotten Flix’s October Spooky Flix Fest, and no one celebrates the season like we do. For the entire month of October we’ll be celebrating the eerie and the unnerving, the ghostly and the gory, the creepy and the spine-chilling. This year we have lots of special features and special guests to amaze and enthrall you.
