<itunes:summary>In this episode of The Forgotten Flix Podcast, we're watching awkward training montages as we get ready to fight Ivan Drago Ivan the Russian in No Retreat, No Surrender (1986)!

Directed by: Corey Yuen

Screenplay by: Corey Yuen, Ng See Yuen, and Keith W. Strangberg

Starring: Kurt McKinney, Jean-Claude Van Damme, J.W. Fails, Kathie Sileno and Tai Chung Kim

Background Info (from Wikipedia): Jason Stillwell (Kurt McKinney) is a young karate student and Bruce Lee fanatic who trains in his father's (Timothy D. Baker) Los Angeles dojo. One night after a training session, the dojo is visited by members of an organized crime syndicate. After refusing to join the organization, Jason's father has his leg broken by a Russian martial artist named Ivan Kraschinsky (Jean-Claude Van Damme), the hired thug of the boss.

The Stillwell family relocates to Seattle, where Jason meets R.J. Madison (J.W. Fails) and they become good friends. Jason's girlfriend, Kelly, also comes to visit him. Despite this, Jason has a hard time adjusting and is constantly harassed by the local bullies. Fed up with the beatings, Jason visits the grave of Bruce Lee and beseeches him for aid.

In April of 2012, Jason and Joel were invited to present a panel at PariahCon, a convention held in central Florida. Jason had the idea to present a panel on practical vs. CGI FX, whereas Joel thought a panel on the fine art of being a "Best Boy" (look it up) would draw in the crowds.

Needless to say, Jason (thankfully) won out.
